Treviso Arts District: Ex-industrial site becomes creative hub

A former industrial area in Villorba, Treviso, has been transformed into TAD – Treviso Arts District, a multidisciplinary hub spanning 1,500 square meters dedicated to art, architecture, design, music, and food. The project was initiated by entrepreneur Davide Vanin and Alessandro Benetton, founder and president of 21 Invest and a collector. TAD aims to revitalize the abandoned space and support young creative and culinary talents, such as designer Mattia Bordini and chef Simone Selva, the youngest Michelin star winner in 2022, who opened his restaurant Vite within the district. The district includes the 21Gallery, a benefit corporation founded in 2021 with Roman gallerist Massimiliano Mucciaccia, featuring over 400 square meters of space divided into two halls dedicated to 20th-century art and emerging Italian and international art. Other components include Vite, a concept store designed by collaborating brands like Qeeboo, Intentions, EDG, Abhika, Ibride, Instabile Lab, and artisans Vanni Cenedese and Terra in forme; a coworking space; a Temporary Shop; a Bistrot with eight-meter-high ceilings and exposed brick walls; and a Tiki Bar offering rum, cigars, and street food. TAD plans a rich calendar of events, exhibitions, masterclasses, and workshops open to the public.
