architecture-design · 2026-04-17

At Alcova, Baggio Military Hospital, Casa delle Suore C4, the TRENZAR collection was unveiled by Marlot Baus, a Barcelona-based studio, during Milan Design Week 2026. Founded by Laura García and designed by Natalia Ortega of Worn Studio, the collection showcases the work of nine Spanish artisans who utilized materials such as wood, iron, ceramic, silver, embroidery, blown glass, and wicker. TRENZAR emphasizes braiding as a construction technique, merging various materials through intricate interlacing. Each item is a testament to manual craftsmanship, highlighting the importance of gesture and sequence. This exhibition ran from April 20th to April 26th, 2026, at Via Giovanni Labus 10, with creative direction by Claudia Longarte and visual documentation by Cèlia Andrés and Sara Guerrero.
