Transmissions Waves Festival Goes Online with Global Lineup

The Transmissions Waves festival, a spin-off of the Bronson Produzioni festival dedicated to innovative music frontiers, launches online from March 12 to 14, 2021. Accessible via a link, the three-day event features live performances, DJ sets, and shows by 11 artists and bands from the US, Brazil, China, Mexico, Kenya, and Italy. The opening live from Teatro Rasi in Ravenna features Canto Primo: MIASMA – ARSURA, a performance by Gruppo Nanou and OvO, created in collaboration with Ravenna viso-in-aria and Fèsta for Dante celebrations. Originally scheduled for November 2020 at Teatro Rasi, the festival was canceled due to pandemic restrictions. Founder Chris Angiolini of Associazione Culturale Bronson stated that streaming is not just a contingency but an opportunity to stay connected and expand the community. The program includes a radio schedule by Radio Raheem, featuring exclusive DJ sets by Pan Daijing, Joseph Kamaru (KMRU), and Ehua. Tickets use an "UP TO YOU" pricing model, and live streams remain available for 48 hours after broadcast. The festival has been held in Ravenna for 13 years.
