Transitions of Energy: Five Italian Women Artists in Finland

exhibition · 2026-05-05

The traveling exhibition 'Transitions of Energy' explores how individual and environmental energy interacts with life across different fields. Curated by Lorella Scacco, it debuted at the Kunsthalle Bratislava and is now at the Kajaani Art Museum in northern Finland. The show features five international women artists—Flavia Bigi, casaluce/geiger & synusi@cyborg, Juliana Herrero, Sissa Micheli, and Francesca Romana Pinzari—who live in Austria, France, Italy, and Slovakia. They investigate various forms of energy and their transitions, from industrial to spiritual and social. The exhibition continues in 2016 and 2017 at museums in Kotka and Kokkola, Finland. It runs until September 2016.
