Trần Lương's First International Survey at Art Gallery of Western Australia

The Art Gallery of Western Australia presents 'Trần Lương: Tầm Tã – Soaked in the Long Rain,' the first international survey of the Vietnamese artist, covering thirty years of his practice. The exhibition traces Lương's evolution from painting in the early 1980s to performance and conceptual art after Vietnam's economic opening, and later collaborative community work. It includes installation, painting, performance, community engagement, and institution making, offering insights into a practice shaped by Vietnam's political and social transitions. Lương has also served as activist, archivist, curator, facilitator, and mentor. The exhibition runs from 28 March to 16 August 2026 in Western Australia. A featured work is 'Steam Rice Man' (2001), a durational performance at Mạo Khê coal mine factory in Quảng Ninh, Vietnam.
