architecture-design · 2026-05-04

The Torre Branca in Milan's Parco Sempione, a 108.6-meter steel tower designed by Gio Ponti in 1932 for the V Triennale di Milano, has been repurposed as the set for 'Kong – Con la testa tra le nuvole', a new Rai 3 talk show hosted by Fabio Volo. The show airs weekdays at 20:10 and features guests including Riccardo Cocciante, Brunori Sas, Geppi Cucciari, and Lorenzo Jovanotti. Originally named Torre Littoria, then Torre del Parco, the tower was restored by Fratelli Branca Distillerie and reopened in 2002. In winter 2025, photographer Francesco Jodice exhibited his work on the tower at Galleria Frittelli Rizzo in Milan.
