Torino's Museo della Montagna opens 'Stay with Me' exhibition for 150th anniversary

exhibition · 2026-04-27

The Museo della Montagna in Turin has launched an exhibition titled 'Stay with Me. La montagna come spazio di risonanza', curated by Andrea Lerda, which confronts stereotypes associated with mountains and highlights the urgency of climate issues. The exhibition showcases the works of Swiss sound artist Magda Drozd and Austrian walking artist Michael Höpfner, who investigated the emotional connections between people and nature in mountainous settings. Two years prior, they traversed areas in Cuneo province and Val Roia, which were impacted by Storm Vaia. Höpfner produced a trilogy of videos, while Drozd created a sound installation. This exhibition is part of 'Stay with Me. A Whole Growing Exhibition', in honor of the museum's 150th anniversary in 2024, with events leading to 'A Walking Mountain' in November 2024.
