Torino's historic cultural hub sPAZIO211 closes after years of damage and threats
sPAZIO211, a historic underground music venue in Turin, has permanently closed due to repeated break-ins, threats, and physical aggression. The space, located at Via Cigna 211 in the Barriera di Milano district, was founded in 2005 as a rehearsal room and evolved into a youth aggregation hub and independent music mecca, hosting international artists and festivals like TODays, No Fest, and Radio Blackout. The managing association, Associazione Spazi Musicali ETS, stated that despite years of reports to authorities, the situation worsened, becoming unsustainable and dangerous. The closure is indefinite until institutions intervene decisively. The association called it a defeat for culture and the city.
