Torino's Circolo dei Lettori Opens Music-Focused Third Venue in Rivoli

The Fondazione Circolo dei lettori has launched a new cultural space dedicated to music in Rivoli, near Turin. Named Circolo della Musica, it occupies the former Maison Musique venue, previously used for concerts and artistic events. This marks the foundation's third location after Turin and Novara. The project is supported by the Regione Piemonte and the City of Rivoli. The venue includes an auditorium, recording studio, bar, and restaurant. Artistic direction is by Gianluca Gozzi, former director of the ToDays music festival, selected through a public call. From February to May, four series of events will blend music and words: Letteratura post-rock (opening February 12 with Sonic Youth founder Lee Ranaldo, plus Massimo Volume, Nada, Diaframma), Scultori di suono (featuring William Basinski, OZMOTIC, Lubomyr Melnyk, Christian Fennesz), Non abbiamo bisogno di parole (instrumental music with Tomat/Petrella, Paolo Spaccamonti), and Cinque x duo (duets including Cristiano Godano with Diego De Silva, Zerocalcare with Giancane). The initiative follows the resignation of president Luca Beatrice after eight years. Director Maurizia Rebola stated the space aims to explore contemporary music culture through artist stories and dialogue.
