Torino Art Week 2022: APART, Paratissima, and Flashback Habitat

festival-fair · 2026-04-27

The 2022 Torino Art Week featured three major art fairs: APART, Paratissima, and Flashback. APART, the antiques fair organized by the Associazione Piemontese Antiquari (APA) in collaboration with ASCOM Confcommercio Torino and F.I.M.A., returned for its sixth edition at the Promotrice di Belle Arti, which celebrates its 180th anniversary. The fair hosted 40 exhibitors from Italy and abroad, with works spanning archaeology to contemporary design. New Torino galleries included Società Antiquaria and Novarino Fine Art. A photography contest for IED students was judged by Fulvio Gianaria. Paratissima, the emerging art fair, held its 18th edition at the Cavallerizza Reale under the theme 'Circus.' It featured 9 curated exhibitions, 5 galleries, 9 Special Projects, 3 Guest Projects, and over 8,000 square meters of exhibition space. Highlights included Hermes Mangialardo's installation 'The Bright Side on the Moon' and NONE Collective's immersive 'Reality.' Flashback Art Fair celebrated its tenth edition with a new venue, Flashback Habitat, in Borgo Crimea, a 11,000-square-meter hub for contemporary cultures. The fair presented 30 exhibitors with works from the Middle Ages to the late 20th century, including pieces by Vincenzo Camuccini, Felice Casorati, Alessandro Algardi, Fausto Pirandello, Lavinia Fontana, and Hermann Nitsch.
