Torino Art Week 2019: All Awards and Acquisitions from Artissima and Beyond
The Torino Art Week 2019 wrapped up with notable awards and acquisitions at various events, including Artissima, The Others, Paratissima, FLAT, and DAMA. The illy Present Future Prize was awarded to aaajiao (China, 1984) for his exploration of digital subjectivity, which includes a solo exhibition at Castello di Rivoli. Kimiyo Mishima (Japan, 1932) earned the Sardi per l'Arte Prize for her work in ceramic printing. Sheroanawe Hakihiiwe (Venezuela, 1973) was honored with the Refresh Irinox Prize for his Amazonian drawings. The OGR Award for video acquisition went to Yuri Ancarani (Ravenna, 1972). Guglielmo Castelli (Turin, 1987) received the Ettore e Ines Fico Prize for a solo show in 2020. Julian Irlinger (Germany, 1986) secured the Campari Art Prize. The CRT Foundation made acquisitions totaling over €250,000. Daniela Droz was recognized with the Zenato Academy Photography Prize, while Wolfgang Scheppe received the FLAT-CRT Prize.
