Leading the ranking is Luchino Visconti's 1971 classic 'Death in Venice,' featuring Dirk Bogarde and filmed at the Grand Hotel des Bains. Following closely at number two is David Lean's 1955 film 'Summertime,' starring Katharine Hepburn. The third spot goes to Nicolas Roeg's 1973 thriller 'Don't Look Now' with Julie Christie. Federico Fellini's 1976 'Fellini's Casanova' ranks fourth, while Lasse Hallström's 2005 'Casanova' takes fifth place with Heath Ledger. Other notable films include Paul Schrader's 1990 'The Comfort of Strangers' (sixth), Martin Campbell's 2006 'Casino Royale' (seventh), Kenneth Branagh's 2023 'A Haunting in Venice' (eighth), Joseph L.
