Toni Tongyu Zhao's exhibition titled 'RAGGED AFFECTION' is set to take place at 33ml offspace in Shanghai from March 20 to April 18, 2026. This showcase continues her investigation into ordinary items, the marks of labor, and overlooked viewpoints through her textile, sculptural, and installation art. Utilizing materials such as plastic strings, cut towels, flour clay, and ceramics, Zhao incorporates techniques like embroidery, tufting, and wood carving. Her creations evoke makeshift shelters and folded personal maps, challenging the distinctions between 'use' and 'trace' while delving into the connections among everyday objects, emotions, memories, and the concept of repair.
