Tomorrows Project in Verona Tackles Water Crisis Through Art

The second edition of Tomorrows, part of ArtVerona's Art&theCity format, opened at Castel San Pietro in Verona. Titled 'A Land of Water,' the exhibition runs until November 10 and is free to the public. Curated by Jessica Bianchera and Marta Ferretti, it features works by Lina Dib, Elena Mazzi, Alberta Whittle, and the DAVRA research collective (Saodat Ismailova, Madina Joldybek, Zumrad Mirzalieva). The project is promoted by Fondazione Cariverona and includes the Tomorrows UniCredit residency and production award, won in 2023 by Luana Perilli. The exhibition addresses the global water crisis through video and installations, with Dib's interactive piece 'THRESHOLD' (2017) inspired by the 2010 BP oil spill. The opening featured a live set by Lorenzo Senni and a DJ set by Ritmica. Castel San Pietro, an 19th-century fortress on a prehistoric site, was restored by Cariverona and also houses archaeological excavations. The broader Panta Rei initiative includes a show at Palazzo Pellegrini, an artist residency by Oriana Persico, and public programs focusing on water sustainability.
