Tommy Gun's 'Sostanza Densa' Graphic Novel Published by Progetto Stigma
Tommy Gun, a member of the Ratatà association and the Uomini nudi che corrono collective, has released the graphic novel 'Sostanza Densa' through Progetto Stigma. The 128-page book, priced at €23, tells the story of Stefano, Andrea, Laura, and young Sara in a formless world terrorized by a monster. The narrative begins with the disappearance of Antenna, a superhero who could oppose the blue monster. Antenna, as a child, made a wish to the 'sostanza' (substance), which was exhausted. Now, people and media await his return. The story unfolds over a few hours as the monster arrives in a city, causing chaos. The population perceives the substance as both destructive and wish-granting, and people are trained from childhood to formulate desires correctly to survive. Tommy Gun alternates color pages for the present and black-and-white for flashbacks. The large format emphasizes the expressive faces of the characters. The book concludes with a bitter truth. The review was written by Simona Di Rosa.
