Tomás Saraceno Residency at Villa Manin Explores Non-Human Habitats
The fifth RAVE East Village Artist Residency is showcasing Tomás Saraceno at Villa Manin in Passariano, Udine. This program focuses on exploring specific sites and their non-human inhabitants, particularly spiders and other species, in areas once inhabited by people, where time feels different. It continues RAVE's interest in human-animal relationships. Azzurra Muzzonigro facilitated a workshop called "Animal Spaces," in partnership with Politecnico di Milano and Technische Universität Braunschweig, and with support from Regione Autonoma Friuli Venezia Giulia, Altevie Technologies, and Filiera del Legno FVG, with Vulcano unità di produzione contemporanea as the main collaborator. On July 30, 2016, "La Notte del Dialogo" hosted a roundtable titled "Abitare la soglia," featuring architects and artists discussing biodiversity and architecture.
