Tom Dixon and Caesarstone Present Four Element-Inspired Kitchens at Fuori Salone 2016
During the 55th edition of Salone del Mobile, the Fuori Salone circuit features a collaboration between British designer Tom Dixon and Israeli quartz surface manufacturer Caesarstone at the Rotonda della Besana in Milan. Titled "The Restaurant," the installation presents four innovative kitchens inspired by the natural elements of Water, Fire, Earth, and Air. Dixon aims to move beyond the traditional rectangular modular kitchen layout, emphasizing materiality and sculptural forms to create micro-architectures. The kitchens are functional for both professional chefs cooking live and domestic use. The food design project is curated by Arabeschi di Latte. The installation runs from April 12 to 17, 2016.
