Tiziano Scarpa, an Italian author born in Venice in 1963, has made his mark through novels, poetry, essays, and plays. Among his acclaimed works are "Venezia è un pesce" (Feltrinelli, 2001; expanded edition 2020), "Stabat Mater" (Einaudi, 2008, Strega Prize 2009), "Corpo" (2004), and "Groppi d'amore nella scuraglia" (2005). His more recent novels include "La penultima magia" (2020), "Il cipiglio del gufo" (2018), and "Il brevetto del geco" (2016). In poetry, he has published "Le nuvole e i soldi" and "Una libellula di città," both in 2018. Scarpa also established "Nazione indiana" in 2003 and "Il primo amore" in 2006.
