Tiziana Di Caro Opens Temporary Rome Space with Betty Danon Show

On October 8, 2022, Tiziana Di Caro inaugurates a temporary exhibition space in Rome at AOC F58 (Associazione Operatori Culturali Flaminia 58), located at Via Flaminia 58. The new initiative expands the gallery's activities beyond its main location in Naples (previously based in Salerno from 2008 to 2015). The inaugural show, "1969 – 1979," is a solo exhibition of Betty Danon, featuring works from 1969 to 1979, including her first collage from 1969 and her later "Partiture astratte" series, which explores visual representation of sound. The exhibition is organized in collaboration with the Archivio Danon in Osnago. Di Caro describes the Rome project as a temporary, nomadic expansion, inspired by her experience with "Qui, dove ci incontriamo," a collaborative initiative with Federica Schiavo and Norma Mangione. AOC F58 was founded in 1984 by a group of artists and architects, including painter Bruno Lisi and sculptor Enzo Rosato, who established studios there in the late 1960s. Di Caro has a personal connection to the space, having organized her first exhibitions there as a student in the Master for Curators of Contemporary Art and Architecture at MACRO.
