Tintoretto's Early Works Exhibited at Musée du Luxembourg
The Musée du Luxembourg in Paris presents "Tintoret. Naissance d'un génie," a major exhibition celebrating the 500th anniversary of Jacopo Robusti's birth. Organized by the Réunion des musées nationaux – Grand Palais and the Wallraf-Richartz-Museum & Fondation Corboud of Cologne, the show focuses on the first fifteen years of Tintoretto's career, a period often overlooked but crucial to understanding his artistic development. Curated by Roland Krischel, the exhibition features seven sections and includes loans from the Prado in Madrid, the Gallerie dell'Accademia in Venice, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Key works on display include "Adoration of the Magi" (1537-1538), "Le Péché originel" (1551-1552), and "Self-Portrait" (1547). The exhibition runs until July 11, 2018.
