Tim Hawkinson's 2006-2007 Sculptures Scout and Veil Featured in Installation

Tim Hawkinson created two significant works in 2006-2007: Scout, a sculpture measuring 72 x 100 x 58 inches made from cardboard, box strapping, and urethane foam, and Veil, an 81 x 144 inch photo collage and urethane foam on panel. These pieces were documented in an installation shot posted on August 16, 2010. The works showcase Hawkinson's characteristic use of unconventional materials and large-scale dimensions. Scout was produced over two years from 2006 to 2007, while Veil was completed in 2006. Both pieces represent Hawkinson's exploration of material transformation and photographic elements in contemporary sculpture.
