exhibition · 2026-05-20

On June 5–6, 2025, Tilda Swinton will present a new performance piece titled 'House of Gestures' at the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao. Collaborating with French fashion curator Olivier Saillard, this work draws inspiration from the heritage of Dom Pérignon champagne, delving into the brand's connection to its environment. The performance will be held in the atrium designed by Frank Gehry. Swinton, known for her involvement in performance art, previously showcased 'The Maybe' in 1995 at the Serpentine Gallery, with later iterations at Museo Baracco in 1996 and MoMA in 2013. Currently, she has an exhibition called 'Ongoing' at Onassis Ready in Athens, featuring collaborations with notable filmmakers and including 'A Biographical Wardrobe,' a project with Saillard based on her personal costumes.
