Thypoch Launches Ksana 35mm f/2 with 1980s-Inspired Flare
Thypoch has introduced the Ksana 35mm f/2, a standard prime Leica M-Mount lens following its recent Ksana 21mm f/3.5. The manual focus lens is adaptable to full-frame and APS-C mirrorless cameras. It features Thypoch's Epoch Coating 84, which produces gold and purple flares inspired by 1980s aesthetics, unlike the 21mm's Epoch Coating 73 that emulates 1970s cinema lenses. The lens weighs 198.6 grams and measures 27mm in length, with a 39mm front filter thread. It is constructed from solid brass and available in black paint and silver versions, honoring Leica's design. The optical design includes eight elements in five groups, with an aspherical element, one extra-low dispersion element, and two high-refractive-index lenses. The lens is priced at $599, with an additional $50 for a version with a lens hood. It is available to order now.
