Thu-Van Tran's 'No Longer Day, Not Yet Night' at Almine Rech Shanghai
From May 29 to August 8, 2026, Almine Rech Shanghai will present 'No Longer Day, Not Yet Night,' the fourth solo exhibition by Thu-Van Tran. This event is part of the 2026 Croisements Festival, backed by the French Consulate in Shanghai and the Institut Français de Chine. Tran's work delves into the consequences of the Rainbow Herbicides, such as Agent Orange, that the US military used during the Vietnam War from 1955 to 1975. Notably, 90% of these chemicals were employed to strip away forest cover from the Viet Cong, while the other 10% targeted crops in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia.
