Three Turin Galleries Relocate During Art Week

During Turin's art week, three galleries have moved to new locations. Galleria Giorgio Persano, celebrating 50 years, has relocated to Palazzo Scaglia di Verrua in via Stampatori 4, returning to the city center where it began in 1970. The new space features a main hall with a coffered ceiling hosting Costas Varotsos's exhibition 'Europa 2', a glass installation reflecting on fragile economic and political conditions, and a glass-enclosed garden area showing Michelangelo Pistoletto's mirror paintings from the 'Comunicazione' series (2018). Febo & Dafne moved to via Vanchiglia 16, opening with Luisa Raffaelli's 'Bag in Box'. Founded in 2015 as a cultural association, it continues the legacy of Galleria Dieffe. Raffaella De Chirico added a Home Gallery at via Cervino 18/B in the northern periphery, alongside her two existing venues, inaugurating with a photographic solo show by Tiziana and Gianni Baldizzone on movement. Franco Noero also opened a new space in via Mottalciata. The events coincide with Exhibi.To 2020 (inaugurations through September 28) and Ouverture Tag 2020 by Torino Art Galleries (collective reopening through September 24).
