Three Summer Exhibitions in Cagliari: From Mining to Millinery

Cagliari's summer 2024 art scene features three distinct exhibitions. At the Galleria Comunale, a retrospective of Gabriella Locci covers fifteen years of her graphic art, including woodcuts, calcographic techniques, and paintings, curated by Olga Scotto di Vettimo and supported by the municipal administration. The show runs until November 3, 2024. Meanwhile, the second phase of 'Polvere della memoria' by Collettivo Castia Art occupies the foundry of the Montevecchio mining complex until October 30, 2024. Curated by photographer Cristian Castelnuovo, the project includes works by Enrica Badas, Davide Volponi, Josto Mura, Andrea Forges Davanzati, Cicci Borghi, Romeo Pinna, and Carlo Nieddu Arrica, incorporating painting, photography, sculpture, and installations. Finally, 'Mettitelointesta' at the T Hotel showcases around one hundred hats from various eras alongside 23 themed artworks by painters, photographers, ceramists, and illustrators including Daniele Serra and Gianluca Marjani. The exhibition, running until June 21, 2024, is a collaboration between TArt, the Fondazione del Teatro Lirico, and Antica Cappelleria Martello, curated by Giorgia Bistrusso, Giovanni Ottonello, Tramare, and TArt.
