Three Private Collections Open in Milan During miart 2017

exhibition · 2026-05-05

During miart 2017, three private Milanese collections opened to VIP visitors. Giuseppe Iannaccone's collection, featuring works from 1920–1945, was previously shown at Triennale Milano; his studio in via Matteotti hosted the third edition of Inpratica, inviting Andrea Romano (b. 1984) to create site-specific text and drawings. Giuseppe Rabolini's collection, curated by Irina Zucca Alessandrelli, exclusively holds 20th-century Italian drawings; his offices in via Borgonuovo presented a solo show of Tancredi Parmeggiani (1927–1964), focusing on his shift from Informale to figurative works between 1960 and 1964, including 'Le pose della Callas'. Roberto Spada's collection, in his accountant's offices on corso Italia, features works by Shilpa Gupta, Li Wei, and young Italians like Marco Basta, Luca De Leva, and Antonio Fiorentino, with architectural intervention by CLS Architetti and a catering by Carlo Cracco; a highlight is Davide Monaldi's 365 ceramic statuettes.
