Three Musicians Perform Inside Berlinde De Bruyckere's Installation at Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo
In Turin, the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo showcases 'This is the Room', which includes three musical performances that interact with Berlinde De Bruyckere's installation 'Aletheia On Vergeten', displayed since November 2019. On July 9, 16, and 23, 2020, at 9:00 PM, composers Enrico Gabrielli, Stefano Pilia, and Paolo Spaccamonti will perform, with the events streamed live on Facebook. Curator Francesca Togni explains that the concept emerged after Spaccamonti's visit post-lockdown, where he imagined the auditory possibilities of the space. The title is inspired by Ian Curtis's song 'Day of the Lords', and Spaccamonti links his guitar drones to the themes present in De Bruyckere's artwork, aiming to blend visual and auditory experiences.
