Three Masters of Color in Dialogue at Milan's Progetto Arte ELM

The exhibition titled "La Felicità Dei Colori. Dorazio, Verna, Casentini. Tre generazioni a confronto" has commenced at Progetto Arte ELM in Milan, featuring approximately twenty artworks created between the 1970s and 2014. This showcase highlights three Italian artists from distinct generations who are renowned for their use of color: Piero Dorazio (1927–2005), Claudio Verna (born 1937), and Marco Casentini (born 1961). Dorazio, a prominent abstractionist, was part of Gruppo Forma 1, which included notable figures like Carla Accardi and Ugo Attardi. Verna represents the Analytical Painting movement that emerged around 1970, focusing on the painting process itself. Casentini, influenced by the Lombard plain's dark hues after relocating to Milan in 1988, brightened his palette following trips to California starting in 1996, where he now has a second residence. The exhibition is set to continue until May 30, 2025.
