Three luminous installations illuminate Milan during Fuorisalone 2023

During the 2023 Milan Design Week, three installations blending art and design were presented. Ron Gilad for Nemo Lighting created 'Enlightment' at via Borgonuovo 19, featuring poetic installations with recent products and reissues, including a 3D-printed self-portrait and synchronized lighting powered by hidden sources. Michael Anastassiades for Flos presented 'Six Acts – My Circuit' at corso Monforte 15, a flexible track system for open-plan spaces, with daily performances directed by Fabio Cherstich. Ingo Maurer unveiled 'Light-Floating Reflection', a 30-meter reflective carpet suspended across Porta Nuova in piazzale Principessa Clotilde, absorbing and reflecting surrounding colors, alongside new products like 'pic-a-stic' inspired by the game Shanghai. The installations were part of the Fuorisalone, coinciding with the Salone del Mobile's focus on lighting in odd-numbered years.
