Three Italian Projects Finalists for Fedora Prize 2021
The Fedora platform has revealed the finalists for the 2021 Fedora Prizes, aimed at fostering innovation in opera, ballet, digital arts, and education. Out of 34 projects chosen from 20 nations, three hail from Italy. The awards comprise the Fedora Opera Prize (€75,000), Fedora-Van Cleef & Arpels Ballet Prize (€50,000), Fedora Education Prize (€50,000), and Fedora Digital Prize (€50,000). Public voting will remain open until February 26, 2021, with winners set to be announced in June. Noteworthy entries include Stewart Copeland's "The Witches Seed," Peeping Tom's "La Visita," and "Carmen and the other extraordinary women." According to Fedora director Edilia Gänz, over €1.5 million has been allocated to 17 projects, leading to 400 performances that reached 500,000 viewers.
