Three exhibitions open at Forte di Bard: Botero, Arctic photography, and bird photography
Beginning in February 2026, the Forte di Bard located in Valle d'Aosta, Italy, will feature three distinct exhibitions. The first, titled "Botero. Tecnica monumentale," will present over 100 pieces by Fernando Botero (1932–2023) divided into seven sections, focusing on his unique takes on classical art and modern themes. The second exhibition, "Stefano Unterthiner. Una finestra sull'Artico," will display sixty photographs captured by Valdostan naturalist Stefano Unterthiner in Svalbard between 2018 and 2025, showcasing the region's landscapes and wildlife. Lastly, "Bird Photographer of the Year" will feature award-winning images from the largest competition in ornithological photography, illustrating birds in diverse settings. Visitors can access the exhibitions via an elevator or by walking through the complex.
