Three exhibitions at Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo in Turin

During Turin's autumn art week, Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo opened three solo shows: Mark Manders' 'Silent Studio', Stefanie Heinze's 'Your Mouth Comes Second', and Bekhbaatar Enkhtur's 'Hearsay'. Manders' exhibition is his first Italian institutional retrospective, featuring over twenty works including sculptures, installations, and furniture in bronze, steel, iron, and paper. The immersive environment simulates his studio in Ronse, Belgium, with pieces like 'Dry Clay Head' (2015–2016) and 'Unfired Clay Figure' (2005–2023) exploring transience and vulnerability. His 'Autoritratto come edificio' project, which won the Premio Regione Piemonte in 1997, treats artworks as 'visual words' and exhibitions as rooms of an imaginary building. 'Perspective Study' (2005–2024) includes a neon light and newspapers made from Oxford English Dictionary words arranged randomly. Heinze's institutional debut presents large canvases with ambiguous forms and bright colors, blending abstraction and figuration to challenge categorization. Enkhtur's show, promoted by illycaffè and Artissima, focuses on superstition and luck symbols.
