Three Contemporary Art Exhibitions in Florence: Shimamoto, Carena, and Teatro delle Relazioni

Florence is currently hosting three exhibitions that highlight contemporary art. At Palazzo Bastogi, visitors can explore the works of Shozo Shimamoto (Osaka, 1928–2013) until November 30, under the curation of Italo Tomassoni, featuring interactive installations that merge painting, environment, music, and performance. 'Il Teatro delle relazioni' is on display at the Ex Teatro dell'Oriuolo until December 20, in partnership with Fondazione Hillary Merkus Recordati, showcasing artists who delve into community themes through diverse mediums. Strozzina will focus on performances from November 28–30, featuring Ajmone, Banti, and Leghissa. Additionally, 'Felice Carena. Pittore e Maestro' is available at Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze until late September, commemorating Carena's arrival in 1924 with 42 works and pieces by his contemporaries, linking to 'Felice Carena. Vivere nella Pittura' at Palazzo Medici Riccardi until February 2025.
