Three artists explore climate crisis in Verona group show
Studio la Città in Verona presents a group exhibition featuring three artists whose works address environmental themes. Michael Najjar (born 1966 in Landau) uses photography and video to envision a future shaped by extreme climatic conditions, leaving viewers uncertain about the boundary between reality and speculation. The exhibition also includes a dual solo show by Giorgia Severi and Andre Woodward. Severi (born 1984 in Ravenna) documents climate change from the Macaronesia archipelago to Italy using diverse techniques such as frottage on paper, plaster casts, ceramic and terracotta sculptures, cellulose paste, and photography. Woodward (born 1977 in Newport Beach) focuses on sequoias, the oldest known living organisms, and has been depicting these trees since witnessing the devastating fire at California's Big Basin State Park about three years ago. The show runs at Studio la Città in Verona.
