Three art-nature events in Italy and Canada for September 2025

The Landscape Festival in Bergamo, Italy, is set to continue until September 21, 2025, in the historic area of Bergamo Alta. Organized by Arketipos in collaboration with Comune di Bergamo and Accademia Carrara, the festival's theme is New Urban Ecosystem. British garden designer Sarah Price has transformed Piazza Vecchia into a lush garden featuring over 9,000 plants, drawing inspiration from Renaissance artists. The event will attract more than 300,000 visitors and includes installations, conferences, and workshops. Notable events feature a day dedicated to women landscape architects, a discussion with actor Alessio Boni, and Paolo Chiasera's Orti Tintori installation at Accademia Carrara. Michel Vecchi's Mushroom Forest installation can be found at Pavia's Orto Botanico, while Galleria Marco Fraccaro presents Sarenco's exhibition La Natura è il mio forte. Furthermore, the International Garden Festival of Metis in Québec, Canada, is inviting proposals for temporary gardens at Jardins de Métis, with a submission deadline of October 27, 2025. The theme for 2026 is Mapping Sensitivity, focusing on the concept of subjective mapping.
