Thomas Demand's Market Performance at Prada and Beyond

At Ca' Corner della Regina in Venice, the Fondazione Prada is showcasing 'The Boat is Leaking. The Captain Lied' until late November. This initiative features writer and director Alexander Kluge, artist Thomas Demand, set and costume designer Anna Viebrock, and curator Udo Kittelmann, incorporating films, photographs, and installations. Thomas Demand, who was born in Munich in 1968, has had exhibitions at notable venues such as MoMA New York and the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo. He previously worked with Fondazione Prada in Milan in 2017 and in Venice in 2007. His highest auction price reached €300,000 at Phillips New York in 2015, with earlier records of €174,000 at Christie's in 2006 and €160,000 at Grisenbach in 2008. Prices have remained stable since the early 2000s.
