Thomas Berra and Corinna Gosmaro Win 6ARTISTA Prize
In the fifth edition of 6ARTISTA, Thomas Berra and Corinna Gosmaro emerged as winners of the initiative aimed at supporting young artists, organized by Fondazione Pastificio Cerere and Associazione Civita. This award fosters Italian contemporary art through international residency exchanges. A selection committee, led by Marcello Smarrelli and including members such as Eike Berg, Nicola Maccanico, Flavio Misciattelli, Nunzio, and Benedetta Torino, reviewed over one hundred submissions. Previous recipients have included Davide Stucchi, Helena Hladilová, Adelita Husni-Bey, and Elisa Strinna. Berra (born 1986, Milan) delves into themes of imagination and reality in his works, while Gosmaro (born 1987, Turin) focuses on perception and cognition. Both artists will spend three months in Rome and Freising, culminating in a group exhibition in December 2017.
