Third Edition of Licheni, the International Queer Ecology and Degrowth Festival, Held in Ravenna
In early September 2024, the third edition of the Licheni Festival, focusing on International Queer Ecology and Degrowth, took place at CSA Terrestra in Sant'Agata sul Santerno, within the Ravenna province. Enrico Corte and Andrea Nurcis, along with Silvia and Cristina Patuelli, hosted the event, which combined elements from Alt Shift (Vienna, 2022) and Metamorfosis (Barcelona, 2023). The festival, organized by queer, transfeminist, and ecological groups, sought to foster safer environments for queer individuals while tackling ecological challenges. The program featured workshops, concerts, and conferences, including a panel by Corte and Nurcis titled NSFW – Not Safe For Work. Additionally, the festival launched a new experimental art space at CSA Terrestra, linking contemporary art with agroecology.
