Thierry Mugler Retrospective 'Couturissime' Opens at Kunsthal Rotterdam
The first European retrospective of French fashion designer and photographer Thierry Mugler, titled 'Thierry Mugler: Couturissime', has opened at the Kunsthal Rotterdam. The exhibition, which previously attracted nearly 300,000 visitors in Montreal, showcases over 140 works created between 1973 and 2001, many exhibited for the first time. It includes accessories, stage costumes, clips, videos, archival documents, and sketches, alongside around 100 photographs by renowned fashion photographers such as Avedon, Bourdin, Goude, LaChapelle, Newton, Ritts, and Issermann. Immersive galleries were designed by artists Michel Lemieux and Philipp Fürhofer and special effects studio Rodeo FX. The show runs until March 8, 2020.
