From March 7 to April 18, Thiago Rocha Pitta showcases 'O Ovo como uma Esfinge' at Galeria Marilia Razuk in São Paulo. This exhibition includes frescoes, watercolors, installations, and sculptures that delve into the concept of landscape as a dynamic entity. Rocha Pitta examines natural changes, moving away from conventional landscape portrayals to emphasize physical experiences. Camila Bechelany highlights that his art interacts with natural materials and suggests timeframes that exceed human perception. The fresco technique, learned in Italy, involves applying paint to wet plaster, which allows mineral pigments to bond as it dries. The gallery serves as an extension of nature, merging geological history, collective memory, and sensory engagement.
