Theodoros Terzopoulos's Oresteia Opens 77th Classical Performances Cycle in Vicenza

On September 20, the 77th Cycle of Classical Performances commenced at Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza with a staging of the Oresteia, helmed by director Theodoros Terzopoulos. This production follows its summer introduction at the Athens and Epidaurus Festival and marks a national premiere. Curated by Ermanna Montanari and Marco Martinelli, the cycle revolves around the theme of 'chorus' and will feature eight performances, three public calls, and discussions at locations such as Basilica Palladiana and Teatro Astra, concluding on October 20. Notable artists include Alessandro Serra, Evelina Rosselli, and Giovanni Lindo Ferretti, with highlights being the premieres of Serra's Il canto di Edipo and Ferretti's moltitudine in cadenza, percuotendo. The initiative receives backing from the Municipality of Vicenza and other entities.
