architecture-design · 2026-05-15

The Zetter Hotels opened its third property, The Zetter Bloomsbury, in London's creative quarter opposite the British Museum. The launch party was co-hosted by Vogue's Hamish Bowles and attended by fashion figures including Kim Cattrall, Charles Jeffrey, Conner Ives, Juergen Teller, and Raven Smith. The hotel occupies six interconnecting Georgian townhouses with 68 boutique bedrooms. Interior designer James Thurstan Waterworth blended Georgian architecture with global antiques and 20th-century British art, including works by Sandra Blow and Rodger Hilton. The hotel features 300 bespoke cushions from antique textiles, a library of over 600 vintage art and auction catalogues from Sotheby's and Christie's, and artefacts including 2,000-year-old Egyptian pieces. The evening included performances by DJ Martelo and pianist Friqtao, and food by executive head chef Debjit Dass.
