By 2023, The Student Hotel (TSH) Group plans to launch TSH San Lorenzo in Rome, marking its fifth venture in Italy at the Ex-Dogana site, a former customs facility spanning 21,000 square meters. This new establishment will offer 444 accommodations for students, hotel visitors, and young professionals, alongside green areas, dining options, bars, co-working spaces, and leisure amenities. The investment in Italy totals €450 million, with €90 million allocated for this specific project. Edoardo Volpi characterized TSH as 'disruptive, impactful, inclusive.' Rome's selection was driven by its prominent universities and burgeoning start-up ecosystem. Architect Matteo Fantoni leads the project, which prioritizes sustainability and seeks BREEAM certification. TSH has a presence in 16 European cities and remained operational throughout the pandemic.
