The Saffron Verandah House by HabitArt Architecture Studio

The Saffron Verandah House, designed by HabitArt Architecture Studio, is a residential project located in Chembarasanapalli, near Shoolagiri in northern Tamil Nadu, India. The 2,700 square-foot house, completed in 2025, is situated on a nearly three-quarter-acre plot amidst mature mango trees, which create a cooler microclimate. The design, led by architect Aditya Venkat with a team including Rochana Ramakrishna and Yogita Kamath, was curated by Miwa Negoro. The project was photographed by Naresh and Nayan. Materials and products used include Fenesta windows, Jaquar India bath fittings, Kota Stone from Vidhyasagar Stones, and Somany bathroom tiles. The architects describe the home as beginning with an orchard, emphasizing the integration of the existing landscape into the design.
