The Risico Screening: danza contemporanea al cinema a Catania

From January 5 to 7, 2017, Scenario Pubblico in Catania will host The Risico Screening, a multimedia event focused on dance in video format. Admission is free, and the screenings will take place from 6 PM to midnight, featuring dance works from the 1990s to the present. Notable pieces include Mats Ek's Smoke, DV8's The Cost of Living, and a selection from the La danza in 1 minuto contest curated by COORPI (2011/15). The short film Nous n'attendrons plus les barbares by Alain El Sakhawi will also premiere. This initiative is organized by the R.I.Si.Co network. Additionally, on January 4 and 5 at 9 PM, the Compagnia Zappalà Danza will perform I am Beautiful at Teatro Massimo Bellini, with original music by Puccio Castrogiovanni. This performance is part of the Transiti Humanitatis project, started in 2014 by Nello Calabrò and Roberto Zappalà, and is inspired by a sculpture by Auguste Rodin and a poem by Baudelaire.
