The Others Fair Moves to Former Hospital, Adopts Nomadic Format

festival-fair · 2026-05-05

The Others fair in Turin will relocate from the former Le Nuove prison to the ex Regina Maria Adelaide hospital on Lungo Dora Firenze for its 2016 edition, running November 3–6. Organizers cited space and security reasons for the move. The fair will adopt a nomadic format, occupying unconventional, often disused spaces to aid their reactivation. Cultural Nomadism will guide the performance, video, and music program curated by Bruno Barsanti, Ludovica Capobianco, and Greta Scarpa. A single-day roundtable will feature key figures in the emerging art system. Exhibit, the no-format-limits show previously held at the ex Borsa Valori, will now take place in the fair's main gymnasium, a former trauma center opened in 1887 and closed in April 2016, granted by the Città della Salute e della Scienza di Torino. The fair is located in the Aurora district, near the new NESXT festival and DAMA curated fair. Applications open September 1.
