So, there’s this organization called The Moving Museum, which was started in 2012 by Aya Mousawi and Simon Sakhai. They’re a non-profit group that's planning a residency and group show in Istanbul from August 1 to October 2014. They’ve invited forty artists from around the world, including names like Hito Steyerl and Aslı Çavusoglu, to create projects specific to the area. Throughout the residency, there will be a bunch of public activities, like talks, workshops, and performances, leading up to a big exhibition at the end of October. Their goal is to connect with different urban spaces while showcasing contemporary art in major cities during important art events.
