The Milky Way 3: 38 Artists Support Maternal Health in Milan

The third edition of The Milky Way charity initiative is set to launch on November 10, 2016, at Galleria Gió Marconi in Milan. Curated by Damiana Leoni and supported by Fondazione Pianoterra Onlus, the event features artworks from 38 contemporary artists, with proceeds benefiting the 1000giorni program aimed at assisting marginalized pregnant women, new mothers, and young children. Women who complete a maternity support program from the fourth month of pregnancy receive the Valigia Maternità, inspired by the Finnish Baby Box, which includes essential items for mothers and newborns. Previous editions took place in Naples (2014) and Rome (2015), with the latter attracting approximately 500 visitors. Artists such as Alfredo Aceto and Luigi Anastasio are among the participants.
