The Matter Loop Exhibition in Gorizia Pairs Artists with Local Industries Using Industrial Waste
Running until April 26, 2026, "The Matter Loop" exhibition is hosted at Via Rastello in Gorizia, Italy, under the curation of Vincenzo Alessandria for Associazione QuiAltrove. This showcase highlights the work of four contemporary artists from Friuli Venezia Giulia who partner with local businesses to repurpose industrial waste. Giulia Maria Belli crafts a sewn installation from textile remnants provided by Braida Srl SB. Nicola Facchini utilizes salvaged brass plates from Postir Srl. Anna Marzuttini reconstructs logs sourced from Cooperativa Contea, while Kristian Sturi integrates electronic components from Infostar Group Srl. This initiative is part of the "Arte per il pianeta" program, reflecting the circular economy and coinciding with Nova Gorica's recognition as the European Capital of Culture. Following the exhibition, the artworks will be returned to their respective companies, thus completing the material loop.
